How can I start and stop the NetSeries service?

Problem

You have installed NetSeries as a Windows Service (rather than as a normal application, which is the other alternative). You would like to update it, and for this you need to stop the service. Here is an explanation of how to stop and start a Windows Service.

Solution

Select the Start menu, and then select Settings and from this Control Panel. Within the Control Panel folder you will find a folder called Administrative Tools. Open this folder and select Services. You will then need to scroll down the list of services until you find Question Tools NetSeries Service.

Warning. Some services a critical to the operation of your computer. Do not alter any services you do not understand. Some services sound as if they are relatively unimportant, but will actually disable your whole computer if turned off.
