Intelligent Password Protection

You can password protect your screen files so that only you (and anyone you give the password to) can open them. It is possible to protect just one file, or all open files, with a password. You can also select previously used passwords from a menu to ensure that the password is entered consistently each time you use it.

If I open 20 password-protected files, will I have to enter 20 passwords?

No. Question Tools keeps an encrypted copy of your passwords on your computer. If you open a screen that uses a password you have already entered then you will not be prompted for a password — it will just open.

Selecting passwords

Short passwords, and passwords that are easy to guess, such as your own name, or the name of a child or pet, are generally bad passwords. One tip for generating of good passwords is to think of something from your childhood that only you will know, such as a favourite toy, place or event.
