List Inspector: Lists

The Lists tab can show up to 50 lists, together with their screens. Each screen list can contain up to 1,000 screens. A Screen List is simply a list of screen files that will make up a lesson, survey or test. If you cannot see the List Inspector then you can show it by selecting List Inspector from the Options menu.

Name

This will appear in the user's results, and will also be the name used to identify the lesson, survey or test.

Author

This will appear in the results shown to the user.

Screens

Add screens

You can add screens by selecting Add Screens from the from the Screens menu. Note that you can select more than one screen to add if you wish. If the screen you want to add is open you can right-click in its window and select Add this screen to the selected test.

Screen Order

You can change the order in which screens appear simply by dragging the screen icon up or down its list.

Copying screens

You can copy a screen from one open Screen List to another simply by dragging it to the new list.

Opening screens

To open one of the screens in a list just double-click on its icon. The screen will open. If the screen was already open then it will move in front of any other screens.

Categories to which the screen belongs

The Categories list is used to classify the screens. The categories you can select from can be entered in the Categories tab in the List Inspector. Categories are useful because test performance is automatically broken down by category and displayed in a detailed results display once the user has completed the test.

Shortcut. It is possible to select several screens at once in a list by either Ctrl-clicking or Shift-clicking. Once selected, any changes you make to the categories will apply to all selected screens.
