List Inspector: Active

Results Password

This is the password that will allow you to view the results. If you need to set multiple passwords for just portions of the data then see the Developer options.

Save results

If this is not selected then just a log of access is kept.

Users must log on

Users must log on determines whether a list of usernames and passwords is used to control access to the survey, test or lesson.

Users can restart

Users can restart determines whether users can log on and start their test from where they left off. To do this the user should restart within one hour of leaving the survey, test or lesson. If they do not, and the results have been processed, they will no longer be able to return to the test.

Users can retake

This determines whether a user can make more than one attempt at a lesson or test.

Maximum number of uses

Maximum number of uses determines the number of times a survey, lesson or test can be taken. If this is set to zero then the maximum will be determined by the maximum set by the Results licence.

Load or enter userlist

If set to Load then a text file, separated by tabs, can be used to list the usernames, passwords, first and family names used to control access. Alternatively, these can be entered in the grid provided in the Active tab if Enter is selected in Load or enter userlist.

Suggested approach

Active Web Pages have to be run from a PHP-enabled web server. Consequently, it is often easier to create your lesson, survey or test as plain web pages while you check that it works as you intend. Click here to find out about setting up a free PHP web server.
