Easy backup (and restore)

An easy backup facility has been added to NetSeries hosting, so that site owners can take a full, daily copy of all content and data in their service. All a service manager has to do is log on, select the settings page for service and security, and download a zipped file. In this way a snapshot can be created of every day, enabling a step back in virtual time if it is needed.

To restore a backup NetSeries needs to be installed on a computer, and then the backup unzipped, the folders in the backup used to replace the ones in the NetSeries folder, and then NetSeries started. One of the advantages of the way in which Question Tools licences NetSeries is that reviewing backups, exporting results and other activities like this do not require a valid NetSeries serial number.
